CAB is an organisation, staffed by volunteers, who provide information and advice about how to deal with life’s difficult times: family problems, employment problems, housing issues, financial difficulties and questions, immigration matters, questions about education or health services and many others. If you don’t know who to ask or where to go for assistance, we can help.

Legal Clinics:   Thursday – 6pm to 7pm

These are brief (15 minute) legal consultations with a qualified lawyer.
Appointments must be made in advance and confirmed before the appointment date.

Family Clinic:    Every second Wednesday – 4pm to 7pm

These are private 45 minute consultations with an experienced family mediator, who can explore family relationship matters with clients, assist them to identify options, and identify the specialist services they might need. These are not mediation sessions.
Clients calling the CAB about complex family issues may be offered these appointments.
Appointments must be made in advance and confirmed before the appointment date.

Legal Ear: on request

If you have a legal problem that can’t be answered by one of our interviewers, we may be able to refer you to a legal ear. These lawyers provide very brief advice by telephone.
